Hi guys, i admire so much the idea of making a sequel of a such great series of games.
I was wondering when exactly the game develops. The first SR takes place in '63, the second in '69, to follow the gap it should take place in '75. Knowing this, i can list all the cars of the era (conting also the car list from the previous chapters).

On another note I am an amateur composer, if you want i can (try to) compose a title screen music like the old SR games, basing the genre on the year it takes place. Like the r'n'r vibe of the first, mixing up the current influencies of Grease/Elvis or the more pure rock of the second with Doors influence. The thrind one can be a nice hard rock/rock blues soundtrack if it tales place in '75.

Keep up the good work!

SR3 takes place in '72 just before the oil embargo. The old site had car list which I backed up, at least what was left of it. Which you can see here, it didn't copy over to well from MS Access.

I was looking at the list, but it seems incomplete, or at least not final...

No Oldsmobile 88? No Ford Falcon? No Ford Torino/Gran Torino?

:P :P :P

IMHO it "should" have the most iconic cars of the era, alongside the best cars and/or funniest cars, of the previous games.  8)

So long as  they fit in the time line and where something not rare or exotic for the time or common man. Yes it is missing a number of cars the old site wasn't in good shape some of it when missing after the server migration.

how ever it would be cool see an sr3 sequel or make mod/s with cars from Europe or a mod taking plcae in a lter date with VW bugs and Porches, I found out they were raced after '72 on Muholland drive.

I found a forum called H.A.M.B. I found tons of stories and historical information. I originally planned to ask old school street racers how Mullholland really was so i could collect enough information to make an accurate reproduction from 1970s/1972.

I'm not even really sure what you're trying to say.

As for common cars: I think it would be worth checking the common-ness of imported cars (significantly rarer IRL and in-game at the time, but an interesting break from hefty domestics of the time).

I have imports didn't show till mid 70s just after where SR3 takes place. At the points AFTER SR3 VW bugs and Porches were in the scene even then people only talk about a few guys who drove such cars.

Also he was mentioning a few cars on the list saying that they are sweet cars and how cool it would be for them to be in the game.

Im saying sweet that a HQ Monaro is planned have only ever seen one in any game ;)

No the HQ Aussie cars have never been planned they weren't commonly raced in the 1970s in America.

Jackarooing_Cowboy

Ok I didn't think that they were planned but when i read it from the list with "Planned" beside it I guess I took it the wrong way.

I think they would definitely show up in mods for sure.
