STREET ROD 3 IS NOT DEAD YET.

Yes, look at the date on this post. March 2022. It's not an old or bumped post, this is live people!  ;D

We currently have at least one, *maybe* two developers working part time on this beloved game. Can you help us out any way, either as a Unity/C++ coder, a 3D modeler, general US classic rod enthusiast, or just a huge fan of the original games? Then please join us on our Discord channel at https://discord.gg/XTmB4EQn today and introduce yourself!  :D

We the development team look forward to seeing you all there soon!  ;)

Stay tuned for this fall, StreetRod 76! An open world public server game where every person in-game is a real player! It's not a bug, it's a feature! #itjustworks

Howdy sports fans.

Just a quick note to let you know that our sister site, Social Deviancy, has been updated and is now open to the public again. If you're a lover of free speech and not a fan of censorship or moderation, SocDev is the site for you. We look forward to seeing some of you over there maybe. Cheers!

Car Talk / Re: Cars you'd like to see ingame, if only to point and laugh.

honestly if i cared to par take in such a task i'd just speak with SR3 web dev staff and have forum or site section added on.
I'm with CJJ on this one. The streetrod3.com site is for all things Street Rod 3, including ongoing development, support, addons, etc. It won't just become defunct once we launch. It will adapt, with forums and support for the ongoing development and maintenance of the game.

Hello all! And Happy New Year 2015!! =)

As cdouble mentioned I am away from my PC for a little while as I go through a horrific holiday season house move (if you ever decide to move house at the end of December, just DON'T, mmkay?) so I'm not hanging out in IRC. I still use Facebook though, and most of you have added me there. If you don't, PM me and I'll add you ASAP.

Anyhow, glad to see that the forums aren't dead and that people are still interested in our little project! I think 2015 is going to be our year, we have a few things on the drawing board that should provide the funding we desperately need to get people really working on SR3. Because let's be honest, nobody really wants to work hard for free, no matter how passionate they are about the project. Even cdouble hasn't mentioned it in a while, and he's been around longer than any of the current members, myself included!!

Anyways, just wanted to check in and say hi and thanks for your continued interest guys. Hopefully I'll catch some of you on Facebook, or in our chat room when I get settled in to my new digs! =)

Cheers!

He was joking cdouble... you're a dumbass. Didn't you read the subject line where it said "to point and laugh"?? =(

Development / Re: Game engine

FYI Shigsy. be careful what you do with that "remake of SR2 that runs in a browser". A guy named Marco recently bought the copyrights to the Street Rod franchise and has done exactly that at www.streetrodonline.com . Just sayin'. I'd love to see your work actually, if you didn't mind? But don't go putting it online and live or you may get sued! =(

Yes, we will be using Unity. If we can scrape up a little cash, we will be buying a physics engine that we will definitely need to make SR3 any good.

(I know I just repeated what cdoublejj said, but I'm just confirming it officially.)

News / Re: The time has come - 3D modeller/artist needed!
« on: April 09, 2013, 10:13:47 am »
Welcome, mighty Fenix! Are you a Starcraft fan? I used to have a cat called Fenix. =)

It would be fantastic if you could get a hold of Unity and familiarize yourself with the language. It'd be great to have two coders working in the same direction, that's something the SR3 project hasn't seen in a long time.

Please drop into the chat room as soon as you are able to, and meet and greet the team. If you're an experienced PHP programmer I may even have some paid work for you to do if you're interested.

Thanks again for stopping by, hope to hear from you again soon!

Development / Re: parts inventory interface
« on: March 01, 2013, 10:23:04 am »
this is strictly for garage inventory. the news paper will still be there for buying parts among other buying methods.
Well, one of us is mistaken. My answer to the question was in regards to the parts list found in the newspaper for buying/selling parts/cars. I didn't even consider the owned parts inventory when answering. I concur with Jack_Cow. =)

EDIT: The one in the wrong is, for once, me. It clearly says parts inventory in the subject and all over this thread. Whoops. =P
